When Armando saw Betty the next day, he pretends that her drunken confession did not take place at all. But in truth, he has already confided in Mario who, in turn, tries to persuade Betty to cheat the financial report. Betty on the other hand is quick to say no for she’s not used to tricking other people. Unfortunately, Marcella walks in, hears her statement about liars, and assumes that Betty was talking about her duplicity. To everyone’s shock, she immediately assaults Betty without even trying to hear her side first. When she finally saw reason though, Marcella quickly feigns morning sickness and blames her odd behavior to her pregnancy.

Unbeknownst to her, Armando begins to feel suspicious about her behavior including the fact that she’s drinking coffee during early mornings despite her condition. True enough, he overhears Betty telling Marcella not to worry that her baby will look ugly since she’s not pregnant anyway. Since confronting her fiancée right there and then wouldn’t be any good, Armando gets the truth out of Marcella’s doctor first before breaking up with her now that he has no reason to hold on to their relationship. As expected, Marcella refuses to accept his decision like a lady should and threatens to get back at him and Betty instead.
