Young singer-actor Sam Concepcion leads the cast of the youth-oriented show Lipgloss, one of the new shows of TV5 (formerly ABC-5). TV5 was formally launched on August 9, 2008 by switching on its 120-killowatt transmitter and a big welcome party by the big stars of the network.
Lipgloss is reportedly based on the hit TV series Gossip Girl and follows the lives of the students of an ultra-exclusive high school through the school’s “unofficial” website.
Leading the male cast are Star Magic’s Rodjun Cruz, the older brother of Rayver Cruz, playing the main antagonist Jake; Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 1 housemates Fred Payawan as Jake’s younger brother Jiggo and Mikee Lee as the resident bad boy Maui; and first Little Big Star winner no other than Sam Concepcion as the moderator of the website Lipgloss as Kyle.
Lipgloss pilots this Saturday, August 16, at 5 p.m.
