Randolf Stamatelacky gets a big break in I Love Betty La Fea

Viewers may remember Randolf Stamatelacky in the TV commercials for McDonald’s Burger and San Mig Lite. Now, the 24-year old gets the biggest break of his career so far as a part of the cast of the much anticipated I Love Betty La Fea. During the show’s taping at the EcoModa office set, Randolf talks to ABS-CBN.com about his first project as a Kapamilya.

"Ako si Randy, ang copywriter sa EcoModa Manila na nagtatrabaho under Mario (to be played by Joem Bascon). Si Randy ‘yung mayabang, ma-ere, chickboy, at feeling close sa mga boss. Pero magaling naman siya sa trabaho." he describes his character in Betty.

With his cross-over to the Kapamilya network (Randolf used to appear in soaps in another network), he hopes to do more projects that will hone his acting skills and will allow him to work with other talented and famous stars. "Masaya rin pala dito sa ABS-CBN. Biruin mo makakasama ko mga big stars, at maganda pa yung pakikitungo nila sa akin. Masaya ako na makatrabaho ko yung mga magagaling na artista."

Randolf started out in showbiz as a model when the former boyfriend of his sister encouraged him to join Boracay Bodies in 2002. When he won the contest, he began meeting some agents and producers. Determined to pursue his passion for acting, Randolf says that he is also willing to take on sexy and off-bit roles particularly on independent films, for as long as he believes in the material. "Ready naman ako, kung magugustuhan ko, maniniwala ako sa project at kailangan sa story, bakit hindi. Kapag actor ka kasi dapat wala kang masyandong limitation, dapat kahit ano handa kang gawin."
