Will Piolo Pascual play Armando in "I Love Betty La Fea"?

Who will play "Armando" opposite Bea Alonzo's "Betty La Fea"? Will it be Jake Cuenca, John Lloyd Cruz or Piolo Pascual?

This is the question that viewers have been asking since ABS-CBN started to promote its upcoming television series entitled “I Love Betty La Fea.”

Pascual said that he is not supposed to say anything about the matter since people will eventually find out who Bea Alonzo's leading man will be.

“I’m not supposed to tell, it's a secret. People will find out and it shouldn't come from me,” Pascual said.

Betty’s Armando will be revealed any day next week as ABS-CBN prepares a press conference for the announcement of the much-awaited leading man.

Relating with Ruffa

Pascual also clarified speculations that he is wooing actress-host Ruffa Gutierrez.

He said the reports are not true, and added that Gutierrez is just a good friend.

“Ruffa and I are friends. Kung titingnan mo siya, napakaganda. Prinsesa talaga,” Pascual said.

The report stemmed from his previous revelation that one of his showbiz crushes is Gutierrez.

“I told her, and we were texting a few weeks ago, na I told her I want to work with her in a movie or soap. She's versatile. She’s a good host," he said.

If reports are true that he will play Armando, then he will surely be working with Gutierrez who will portray the character of Daniella in “I Love Betty La Fea.”

Keeping busy

According to Pascual, he is not dating anyone right now. He said he is focusing on his career and his spiritual life.

“I’m not going on a date… I’m going out with the Lord. I love the relationship with the Lord. Gusto ko munang i-maximize ang oras ko sa trabaho at sa ministry,” Pascual said.

Aside from endorsing his own brand of clothing and perfume, he is also set to do a movie with Angel Locsin that will be shot in Bukidnon and in Australia.

He is also doing an independent film entitled “Manila” which is directed by Adolf Alix Jr.

Piolo Pascual is a member of ABS-CBN's Star Magic. He has a coffee table book entitled "Piolo: Believing" that showcases his career highlights.

Piolo started his career in 1997 and had his first big movie break with "Lagarista" in 2000 where he received his first Gawad Urian nomination for Best Actor.
He also starred in ABS-CBN's series "Sa Piling Mo" in 2006 with actress Judy Ann Santos and last year's "Walang Kapalit" with Claudine Baretto.
