Sam Milby agreed that it’s best to strike while the iron hot because he knows that the career high he’s enjoying right now won’t last forever. No wonder his relationship with Anne Curtis took a backseat for his string of projects including teleserye Dyosa, indie film Cul-de-sac, and his first major solo concert dubbed as Sam Milby: The Rockoustic Heartthrob to be held at the Aliw Theatre on October 25. “Most of the songs that I’ll be performing are similar to the sounds of Boyce Avenue parang ganon. Plus yung mga paboritong songs ko from childhood yung mga rock na rock talaga. Of course hindi mawawala yung love songs. I’m also looking forward to my duet with Arnel Pineda (of the international band, Journey),” he excitedly told ABS-CBN.com. In fact, he downloaded all 44 songs of his repertoire on his ipod for him to learn them by heart.

Already booked until next year, Sam also revealed Star Cinema’s plans for him to do a movie with his former Maging Sino Ka Man co-star, Bea Alonzo.“It hasn’t really been decided yet but it might be Bea. Nagkwentuhan na sila nung last week, nag-meeting na sila ng konti. Basta it’s a little more mature compared sa roles na ginawa ko dati, more drama. I have no idea what the title is kasi that meeting was for music and not Star Cinema. But from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be different for me and Bea,” he shared. Aside from the chance to grow as an actor, Sam couldn’t wait to revive their onscreen chemistry from his launching movie, Close To You, back in 2006. “It was exciting pero siyempre ako ang natalo. Even that first movie, to be brand, brand, brand new in the business tapos John Lloyd-Bea—hottest love team ‘di ba?—that was an amazing experience. For me now to be paired with Bea, she’s an amazing actress and we don’t have to get past that comfort stage because we’ve worked together na,” he exclaimed.

Previous reports also said that he’s going to star in ABS-CBN’s upcoming remakes of the hit Korean series Lovers in Paris (with Angel Locsin) and Only You (with Toni Gonzaga). When asked if there’s truth to those rumors, Sam was quick to clarify that the management has never discussed those stuff with him yet. “Walang nagbalita sa akin tungkol sa show na ‘yan. I actually read it sa diyaryo so that was the first time I heard about it. So I asked Erick (Raymundo his manager), sabi niya baka siyempre sa business na ito walang sigurado unless taping na. So you never know. But I think may balak,” he simply stated.
