Singer Ronnie Liang thrilled with first TV series "I Love Betty La Fea"

"Pinoy Dream Academy" Season 2’s second runner-up singer Ronnie Liang expressed his excitement for his new acting job on ABS-CBN’s upcoming series “I Love Betty La Fea” with actress Bea Alonzo as Betty.

Liang said that he is thrilled at the same time nervous about how he will give justice to his character, Enrique.

The new actor said that in the series he will be one of Betty’s officemates, a man who is very mean and a certified womanizer.

“I Love Betty La Fea” is said to be the network’s biggest franchise to date.

"Betty La Fea" is the story of a not-so-pretty but intelligent woman who falls in love with her boss and decides to have a makeover.

Liang is not totally new to acting since he already appeared in the movie “Ako Legal Wife” as John Prats’ love interest, and the television show “Your Song: Salamat.”

Ronnie’s love

Liang, considered one of the most talented singers in the country today also made headlines when reports came out saying that he is wooing "Pop Star Princess" Sarah Geronimo.

After all the reports that surfaced, Liang decided to keep mum when it came to matters of his heart.

He said that he would rather keep his actions secret when it comes to courting Geronimo so people will not say that he is just using the singer-actress to gain publicity.

Liang who also worked as ramp model, started his show biz career when he joined various singing contests including the defunct singing search “Pinoy Pop Supertstar.”

He first got public attention as the grand contender that was disqualified from the singing competition for having a manager. The show’s contract said that a contestant must be free from any talent manager or handler.

But Liang's career got a boost with ABS-CBN’s "Pinoy Dream Academy", where he became the second placer. He was dubbed as PDA’s resident heartthrob.
